Tenanta provides a professional guarantor solution
that enables landlords and letting agents to let with
confidence, while supporting tenants who require
an approved guarantor. Our agreements are designed
to align with UK property law and regulatory standards,
ensuring that all parties are protected and fully informed.
Enhanced Security of Rental Income –our guarantees are structured to address the risks of tenant default in accordance with the tenancy agreement.
Clear Claims Process –landlords and agents can notify Tenanta of arrears in a straightforward manner, with timelines and responsibilities clearly set out in the contractual terms.
Mediation and Support –wherever possible, Tenanta works with tenants and landlords to resolve arrears constructively, including the use of structured payment plans or a deed of surrender.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance –Tenanta operates strictly within the framework of UK housing law, consumer rights legislation, and data protection requirements, giving partners assurance that obligations are met at all times.
Partnering with Tenanta is simple and transparent:
1. Initial Agreement –landlords and agents review and accept the Tenanta Landlord Agreement, which sits alongside the Tenant Agreement to form the whole contractual framework.
2. Tenant Application –tenants apply directly to Tenanta, undergoing affordability and suitability checks. No administrative burden is placed on landlords or agents beyond providing tenancy documentation and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
3. Confirmation of Guarantee –once approved, Tenanta issues a formal guarantee linked to the tenancy. Landlords and agents are provided with written confirmation, which can be retained as part of tenancy records.
4. Ongoing Support –in the event of arrears, landlords and agents notify Tenanta within the agreed timelines. Tenanta then engages directly, mediating and managing the process in accordance with the contractual terms.
Tenanta’s agreements are drafted to ensure fairness, transparency and compliance with applicable law. Our obligations are clearly defined, and we do not exclude or restrict statutory rights available to landlords, agents or tenants. All personal data is processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation, and communications are carried out securely and confidentially.
Tenanta’s role is to stand as guarantor; we do not provide credit, lending, or insurance services. Our guarantees are contractual undertakings and should be considered in the same manner as any other form of surety arrangement in the UK property market.
